Close to nature, recyclable, durable

Clay is natural, but so much more.

Clay strengthens our connection to the earth. It preserves our resources and connects us to nature. Clay is a building material that has been used all over the world for centuries. However, unlike other materials, clay is much more. It conveys warmth and security. You want to touch and feel clay products. Clay has a strong effect on us, it literally grounds us.

100% recoverability

Clay masonry is bonded with clay mortar and plastered with clay plaster. As a result, 100% of the clay block can be returned to the raw material cycle. Scrap bricks can also be completely recycled at any time. For example, new clay blocks can be produced from the material of old clay walls, obviating the need for new raw materials.

100% restoration

Quarrying clay begins with removing the fertile topsoil. The clay layers are extracted and used for local production. When a clay pit is no longer productive or the quality of the clay is no longer adequate, site restoration can start immediately. The pits are recultivated.

100% well-being

In a residential building made of clay, the difference to conventional houses can be felt from day one. The properties of clay convey peace and closeness to nature, contribute to a pleasant indoor climate and have a positive effect on personal well-being.
"GIMA clay blocks captivate you with its positive natural properties and by how its form can be optimally processed on the construction site. Its moisture transfer is superb and it cleanses the air of pollutants. The possibility of infinitely reversible use of clay as a material is a great advantage for me as a planner and clay builder. GIMA has succeeded in shaping a stone that can meet all the necessary requirements and will establish itself in a forward-looking and sustainable manner."
